Richmond is such a great city for foodies! If you love trying new dining experiences and tastes, you live in the right place. 15 years ago Aline Reitzer, who runs Acacia Midtown, saw a great opportunity in Richmond’s restaurant scene and founded Richmond Restaurant Week to not only draw patrons to try our local restaurants, but to do some good for the community by partnering with FeedMore Inc. in the process. It was a win-win! Y’all know how The Susan Morris Team feels about helping our neighbors in need. Aline is a lady after our own heart, so we are spreading the word of her fantastic idea that has continued twice a year every year since its beginning. Not that she needs our help; it’s become something that Richmonders mark on their calendars and look forward to.

For a full week each spring (April) and fall (October) 40+ restaurants work together to raise money & awareness for FeedMore Inc. The chefs at participating eateries create a special prix-fixe ($29.16 per person) three-course meal specifically for this event. Diners come, some from different parts of the country, just to taste what RVA has to offer and, in turn, help others less fortunate. $4.16 from each meal goes directly to support FeedMore Inc. Each year, they raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the cause. To date, Richmond Restaurant Week has provided millions of meals to folks who need them.

This fall’s event begins today, October 21 and runs through the 27th. Click here for information on all of this week’s participating restaurants and their menus. Be sure to check which restaurants require or suggest reservations so that you don’t miss out! Some restaurants can accommodate walk-ins much easier than others.
